Carol Franco has been a publishing
executive for more than twenty-five years. As Director,
she led the Harvard Business School Press to a position
of market leadership in business publishing. Prior
to Harvard, she was President of Ballinger Publishing
Company where she created a line of influential business
books that became the foundation for HarperBusiness,
a subsidiary of HarperCollins. She is currently an
affiliated agent with Kneerim & Williams specializing
in general non-fiction. She also helps people write
the stories of their lives through the process outlined
in The Legacy Guide.
Kent Lineback is a
professional writer who specializes in helping prominent
business thinkers and executives explain their ideas
and tell their stories. He is author, coauthor and
collaborator of 10 books. He coauthored the BusinessWeek
bestseller, The Monk and the Riddle. He wrote
a book-length corporate history of the Liberty Mutual
insurance company, To Live Safer, More Secure
Lives. Most recently, he worked with Leon Gorman
on Gorman’s just-published management memoir,
L.L. Bean – The Making of an American Icon.
(Gorman is L.L. Bean’s grandson and ran the
company from 1967 to 2001.) Kent has also counseled
outplaced executives through the process of finding
the next stages in their careers. Based on that work,
he co-authored the 2005 Harvard Business Review
article, “What’s Your Story?”
